How do I get to the Reagan Library?

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum is located halfway between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara California. Please click here for detailed directions.

How long does it take to tour the Library?

The Library is over 200,000 sq ft of exhibits, including Air Force One. Please allow 2 ½ to 3 hours to enjoy all the galleries. The Library is designed to self-guide. For an additional $7.00, rent our GuideCam – an audio/video tour of the Reagan Library. Over 50 audio stations, in the voices of President and Mrs. Reagan, enhance your Library visit. In addition, the GuideCam can be used as both a camera and a video camera, allowing you to capture all of your memories during your tour. Simply enter your email address into the GuideCam and by the time you return home from your visit, all of your photos and video will be emailed right to your inbox!

How do I make reservations for my group to tour the Library?

Tour guides (docents) are available to tour groups of 15 or more people. All groups must make a reservation, whether or not they elect to have a tour guide. Groups must use ONE form of payment for the entire group. Currently there are no reduced admission prices for groups.

Is this like a regular Library? Where I can check out books?

The Reagan Library is a research facility, housing original papers, photographs and videotapes created by the Reagan Administration. Material can only be viewed in our Research Room, and no items are available for loan. The Archives Staff processes material and makes it available for researchers. Please telephone (800) 410-8354 if you need to speak to a Reference Archivist.

Does the admission fee include Air Force One?

Your admission fee includes all exhibits and galleries at the Library, including the airplane Air Force One.

Is there a fee for parking?

There is no fee for parking at the Library.

Can I have a party at the Library?

The Reagan Library has a number of areas which can be rented for corporate events. We also have an exclusive catering company on site to help host a spectacular event. Weddings, wedding receptions, birthday parties, Bar Mitzvahs, etc. and other non-company oriented events can not be held on the Library grounds.

Is there a restaurant at the Library?

The Reagan Library’s Reagan’s Country Café is a 200 seat indoor restaurant, located adjacent to the Library’s section of the Berlin Wall. In addition to delicious food, it also has one of the most gorgeous vistas in Ventura County. The café is open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., seven days a week (except Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day). In addition to Reagan’s Country Café, The Ronald Reagan pub, located inside the Air Force One Pavilion, offers pre-packaged salads, sandwiches, snacks and drinks. Enjoy your food while sitting beneath the wings of Air Force One!

Was the Library part of President Reagan’s ranch?

No, the Library location was not part of Rancho del Cielo, The President and Mrs. Reagan’s ranch. Presently, the ranch is no longer owned by the Reagans and the Ranch is not part of the Reagan Library. The Library site is a 100 acre parcel which was donated to the Reagan Library Foundation. Approximately 29 acres have been used for the buildings and landscaped areas.

Can I bring my pet to the Library?

Unfortunately we can not accommodate your pets in the museum or on the museum grounds. The only animals allowed on Federal property are working animals, for example a guide dog for the blind. Please leave your pet at home.

Where can I park my RV?

If you bring an RV, please park it on Presidential Drive; the Visitor Parking lot is just too narrow to navigate.

Is there bus parking?

There is limited bus parking in a special parking area. However, additional bus parking is available on Presidential Drive, which is a short walk (approximately two blocks) to the Library.

How do I volunteer at the Library?

The Library has a vibrant volunteer organization. With the large numbers of visitors from all over the world coming to see the Museum, we need volunteers to help these visitors have a truly memorable experience. We ask that a person over the age 16 years be able to donate a minimum of 150 hours per year assisting visitors with information and giving tours. I want to bring my school to the Library. How do I do that?

The Reagan Library welcomes schools to tour the Museum. For grades K-12 there is no charge for students. We allow one free chaperone for every 10 students, the chaperone ratio does include teachers. Additional adult chaperones are welcomed, but must pay the admission fee. Adult students are welcomed, if the school tour is booked, they would qualify for a reduced fee of $12.00 each. (Adult students do not qualify for free admission)
